Hiatus

I'm leaving for my trip tomorrow, and will be gone for 2 weeks... I'm not sure if I'll be able to post during that time; depends on internet availability and how exhausted I am from sightseeing. ;)

The cold/flu/whatever it is has now settled in my throat/voicebox, so as I croak my way through the airport I hope no one tries to quarantine me because they think I have swine flu. :p

See you guys later! Oh yeah - and everyone should go buy Uncharted 2! (though I'll probably be giving away a copy when I get back :D)

Almost Better

I'm feeling about 85% right now... a little cough, a little stuffiness... but a lot more energy. We're leaving for Europe at the end of the week, and I have a million things to do, but I'm trying to take it slow. I don't want to get sick again!

I had grand plans to to be fully packed and organized by the end of today... um, don't think that's going to happen. I'm trying to not be an ultra-procrastinator like usual, but I need to get a couple essays out of the way and catch-up on lectures I missed while ill.

I did get a chance to check the weather out there, and looks like it'll be around 64/44ish the first week (in Paris), and then 50/35ish the second week (in Munich). (I almost forgot - we're also taking a day trip to the Alps... Hmm, I wonder how cold it'll get there?) I know I'm bringing my leather jacket and some black cardigans. Maybe a rain jacket? A long wool coat? I'm having an internal debate over the shoes. One pair of heels... one pair of flats... one pair of boots? Too much? We're aiming to pack LIGHT - one carry-on suitcase each; and then probably a backpack for me, and laptop case for him. We're going to be hopping on and off trains when we get there, so it won't be fun to lug a bunch of crap around. I'm not used to (living in or traveling to) cold places... any suggestions on clothes to bring?

Sick!

...with only about a week and a half left before our Europe trip. I guess I should be happy I still have that week and a half??

It started with fatigue over the weekend. Then sneezing. Then stuffy nose. Then headache. Now all those things plus feverishness and body aches. Is this a cold or the flu? Am I likely to be completely recovered in time for the trip?

I've stocked up on Naked Juice, soups and popsicles (and Nyquil and Vick's Vaporub to help me sleep). I'll probably skip work and school again tomorrow. But come Monday morning I need to be as healthy as I can - I have a TON of stuff to do before we leave. :\

Dine LA is back

Specially priced three course meals are available at restaurants all over LA! It's going on this week until the 9th, and next week from Oct 11-16.

Go here for more info and a list of participating restaurants. I scanned the list, and saw quite a few new places! Can't wait to try some of these out. :)

It Has Begun...

Racking up the expenses associated with the end of law school, that is.

Ding #1, $430 for my Moral Character Application.
Ding #2, $21 for fingerprinting.

I can't wait to pay $500+ for the bar exam, $3500+ for bar prep, and who knows how much for graduation! At least I have some time to mentally prepare (and maybe make some money from Christmas and my birthday).

Museums Free For All in LA/OC

I didn't even know some of these museums existed! I'm kind of leery of the crowds, but I still might go to one or two! Will I be seeing some of you there? :)
