Life Right Now

My first (and least scary) final is out of the way. Now on to studying for my last (and most scary) final. And then a 25 page paper. Whoop-de-doo.

I should be finished just in time for my birthday (I hope). The past few years I've had big get-togethers, but I'm not in the mood for it this year. I gave M a list of ideas for places to go (i.e. skiing in Big Bear! (I've never been), Cirque du Soleil show, hiking) but knowing him, we'll probably just end up going to a restaurant. That I'll have to book. Hmph. :p

I've been alternatively feeling very excited to finish off this semester (my second to last!) and very anxious (my second to last?!). I have no idea what's going to happen, job-wise, when I graduate. And I'm very sure what's going to happen, debt-wise (hellooo, $1400/mo loan payments!). I have added anxieties because I'm not entirely sure where I'm going to be living come next June. I don't really want to expand on that, other than to say M and I are still together. And we may still be together next year, and the year after that. But I don't know. Based on a talk we had a couple weeks ago, I no longer feel secure.

Anyway! It's past midnight here, and I'm freezing, so I think I'm going to curl up in bed with a book... maybe that'll drag me out of my funk. :)

I'm sorry to hear about the relationship difficulties. :-( Hope you can work things out.

However your situation may turn out, I think it's important to take this opportunity to acknowledge just how greatly unpredictable life circumstances (relationships, natural disasters, etc.) can affect and influence one's overall prosperity. From living situations to finding help when you have car trouble, there are no guarantees that the life you are living now will continue on the same trajectory. Kind of depressing I know, but it might make a good blog entry.

Wow. I'm really sorry to hear that but I understand where your coming from. Relationships are great, but people change, things change and sometimes, it's always best to have a backup plan. I hope you work things out though hun. :)

Good luck with the tests and paper, I'm sure you'll do great. As for the future, there is only so much worrying you can do. Ultimately you will end up in the place you are meant to be. Hugs.

Hope things get better for you soon. I just started reading your blog and really enjoy it...I am a law student too so I know what a stressful time this is. Good luck with your finals.

Hey! Sorry to hear about the relationship issues - but congratulations on almost being done with your law degree! That's a huuuuge accomplishment. Are you going to do anything to celebrate?

@Well-heeled: I was thinking about going with some friends to Florida... we were going to check out that new Harry Potter ride ;) That or Hawaii. I need relaxation post-bar!

Hope you're feeling better today, and that the last final and paper went well!

[Yipes on the loan payment amount! Not to add to your anxiety.]

@Revanche: Yeah, I'm doing ok. :) The final isn't until next week, and the paper is due at the end of next week, so still chugging along!
